Tetsuo Yuhara

Dr. Yuhara’s areas of expertise are in Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment, and he is a Project Professor with the Department of Ocean Technology, Policy, and Environment, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at The University of Tokyo.  In addition, Dr. Yuhara is a Director of the Member of Codes and Standard Board of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.  He is the Chair of the Main Committee on Codes & Standards of Power Generation Facility of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a Representative of both the Ocean Engineering Forum of Japan and the Japan-China Forum on Environment and Energy System.  Dr. Yuhara is also a Visiting Professor at the Tokyo University of Science Graduate School Management of Science and Technology program.

Dr. Yuhara received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo.  He is also the Research Director of The Canon Institute for Global Studies, and has held leadership positions with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in the research and development of power plant management and waste management systems.
