Fri, 03/18/2011 - 11:45pm

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits proposals from eligible entities, including non-profit organizations, to deliver environmental workforce development and job training programs focused on hazardous and solid waste management, assessment, and cleanup-associated activities, as referenced in Section I.B., Use of Grant Funds.

While Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training Grants focus on hazardous and solid waste remediation and health and safety, including required core training in HAZWOPER, applicants may design their own curriculums by choosing what types of supplemental environmental training they want to provide.

Proposals may be sent through the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), commercial delivery service, or through www.grants.gov. Only one method should be used for the submission of the original, complete proposal. Proposals sent through the U.S. Postal Service or sent via a commercial delivery service must be postmarked by 11:59 pm March 18, 2011. Proposals sent through http://www.grants.gov must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on March 18, 2011. Please refer to Section IV.B., Due Date and Mailing Instructions, for further instructions.
