Jill Sims joins the Energy Excelerator team as Project Engineer, she provides technical support for Energy Excelerator’s co-investment projects and manages technical reporting and reviews of projects. Ms. Sims works alongside the Energy Excelerator team to implement programs and manage subcontracts to further the Energy Excelerator mission of helping businesses commercialize clean energy technologies in Hawaii.

Prior to joining PICHTR, Ms. Sims was a project manager with SRA International in their Hawaii office.  In this role, she worked with energy projects for the U.S. Pacific Command.  For the past three years, Ms. Sims has worked with the University of Hawaii as a federal grant writer and consultant.  Most recently, she assisted the University in obtaining over $37 M under two Department of Labor Trade solicitations.  Before moving to Hawaii, Ms. Sims spent four years as a technical project officer with the Department of Energy, managing an $80 M portfolio of projects for the hydrogen program, and worked in systems engineering at UTC Fuel Cells (now UTC Power) developing systems controls for fuel cell vehicles and auxiliary power units.

Ms. Sims received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has completed coursework for a M.S. Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford.
