Dawn Lippert joined the Energy Excelerator team in 2009; as Project Director she is responsible for the strategic direction and overall execution of the project.  Prior to joining PICHTR, Ms. Lippert was a management consultant with Booz Allen’s alternative energy team, and worked on clean energy projects in Washington DC, India, Africa, and Latin America. Her work at Booz Allen included conducting financial and policy analysis for new clean energy technologies and systems.

In addition to leading the Energy Excelerator team, Ms. Lippert is the appointed Chair of the Advisory Board for the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, a partnership between the U.S. Department of Energy and the State of Hawaii initiated in 2008 that brings together public and private leaders to design and implement transformational energy policies. Ms. Lippert founded and serves on the board of WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy), a not-for-profit organization helping over 500 women build technical expertise, trust, and relationships that advance clean energy. She also serves on the Entrepreneurship Foundation of Hawaii board, the board of the YWCA of Oahu, and is a member of the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) Advisory Board at the University of Hawaii.

Ms. Lippert received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Yale University and her Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
